I bought it as a 73rd Birthday gift to myself and to my poor family that were having to repeat everything they said. I don't have to say "what" "pardon" "I'm sorry I didn't hear you" any more! Bought this as a backup unit and so far have been very pleased. Does a far better job of filtering background noice than much more expensive units. It is small enough and fit quite well on my ear.I would recommend this as a beginner hearing aid and even without all the bells and whistles is a very effective unit.

This device is appreciated mostly because it works. I puts it on the charger each night when I take it off so has not lost this one. The fact that i does not have to fiddle often with frustrating tiny batteries makes it more attractive to use. This one also seems to have adequate sound quality and no strange noises like squealing and humming. The controls on this unit are very easy to use without having to take it off your ear.

I was raving about this amplifier to my friend who has hardly any hearing left and he tried mine and was so surprised to be able to hear sounds and voices again instead of having to read lips. He used to listen to the tv at 100 maximum and now listens at 36. Remarkable! I ordered one for him and he has found the enjoyment of hearing again.
